Salzburg

Salzburg is a beautiful city and is known for its rich cultural heritage. The city lies on the banks of the Salzach River and is also known as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of the greatest composers in history. 

You can easily reach the city of Salzburg within 25 minutes by car or use the public bus line 140 directly in front of our hotel, which takes you to Mirabellplatz in 45 minutes.

Salzburg's old town, with the famous Getreidegasse, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to many impressive baroque buildings and landmarks. The city's most famous attraction is the Hohensalzburg Fortress, a massive medieval castle that towers over the city. Visitors can take a funicular up to the fortress to explore its many rooms, towers and courtyards and enjoy panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains.

Salzburg's other sights include the Salzburg Cathedral and Mirabell Palace with its gardens, a breathtakingly beautiful palace and park that has featured in many films and TV programmes.
